About the Founder: Terri Khonsari


The Great Parenting Academy was conceived by Terri Khonsari, the author of Raising A Superstar, a best-selling book on strategies to bring out the brilliance within every child.

Terri saw the need for a central place for parents to go and discover how to be great.

Terri Khonsari knows a word or two about the effort that goes into raising an outstanding child when times are difficult. She's overcome numerous obstacles to get to where she is today.

Terri immigrated to 3 different countries while raising her daughter alone, conquering language; cultural and financial challenges so that most people would have given up.  Yet, Terri earned a Master's degree in Industrial Psychology and worked in corporate management for a Fortune 100 company.

Not only did she make the best of things in her own life, but she also created a virtuous atmosphere in which her daughter was able to learn, grow, and eventually find the best place for her life.

Now an adult, Terri's daughter loves the human family and remains consistently positive toward life. She is adaptive and confident. She creates excitement and joy in whatever she does and attracts other people to her energy. This infectious quality is her most admirable Superstar trait and the one Terri hopes each parent can nurture in their own child.

Terri's mission is to empower fellow parents to bring out the brilliance in their children, guiding them towards the best life conceivable. Her overall vision is a world with shining and extraordinary adults succeeding in every aspect of their lives.

Today, Terri is happily married to a physician and lives in the San Francisco, Bay Area and is a big supporter of the National Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Terri Khonsari is regularly featured in the media for her expertise in great parenting as well as for being a productivity expert in business and in life. As a speaker, and a results and author coach, Terri is a leader in motivating others.
